Why Did I Go Back To The First Company I Worked For?
There is a very natural curiosity to explore the work you like in different companies, especially if you have only worked for one company.
That was the position I was in, and I had to make the scariest decision to apply to different companies for the role of a Healthcare Assistant. The number of interviews went from two to three to four and then five, ranging from home care companies to nursing homes to fertility clinics.
My confidence grew with each interview. I got to meet some incredibly kind and caring people. They were so accommodating and understanding of my background and how I was a free spirit with a cheeky sense of humour.
At Acquired Brain Injury Ireland, the whole interview was us laughing the whole time. It was the best interview, with me saying something self deprecating about myself which caught them off guard.
Every interview was a learning curve and an opportunity to display my knowledge. I am grateful for every opportunity and every person I met along the way.
Exploring different companies gave me an understanding of each company, while also giving me true understanding of Homecare companies, that they are not all the same.
Why I Left At The Peak Of My Growth?
I picked Pioneer at the time as it was the best possible choice for my growth. They were professional through and through. Which gave me so much more confidence in myself, allowing me to accept what I wanted next in this peak of my growth. Which felt like a far of achievement if I had to stay at pioneer. So a tough decision had to be made, if I wanted to keep the growth going upwards. But I had to leave to even give myself the chance to see that growth through.
So, why am I going back to InisCare?
Knowing that Iniscare now could foster the growth I have gained from Pioneer and move me onto a higher step in my growth that I am looking for, was the only conclusion that made sense.
Going back to InisCare feels like the right choice for where I am now, to level up onto who I want to be next.
Why is growth not so simple?
If you are not ready, you are not ready. Acceptance is the first step to grow the right way. There are no actual steps, it is just our own understanding of who we want to be and not to limit ourselves because we are comfortable, or too scared. To see it as a step is kind of, programmed in our brains from school. Milestones seen as steps feels good because of that.
