Not The Glue

Which relationship has taught you the most about yourself?

Friendships that faded with time taught me that I have grown and grown apart to the point that there is no point in holding on to some of them. To the point where it has opened my eyes to the friendships that you do not need to maintain, but a single phone call every year and it still exists.

It is once you know you are the one making that call each year that had me know it was over.

I never want to be in a position where I am the glue that holds friendships together. I want to see others invest as much or more than I do.

This applies to all forms of relationships. Are you the only one putting in effort?

There is always an option to have chosen families.
