Willing to Lose Familiarity

What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done?

Moved to a new country for a better lifestyle. Not really spontaneous, more just out of knowing how work is more important for me and that toxic work culture will hurt my interests in the long run if I decide to stay in India.

I love the country and it will forever be my home, but what I use every day, like public transport, is not up to what I would like it to be. Women’s safety has deteriorated since the early 2000s, and I did not see it getting better.

My answer may be spontaneous to some, but for me, it is that I fully understood what I was willing to lose: familiarity, and gain a more balanced life. Which I have had in the last two years.
